Objectives

The Band supports events to raise funds for The Royal British Legion, The Army Benevolent Fund and other worthy charitable causes. The Band seeks to provide any young boy or girl with the opportunity to become involved with music. In many cases they are provided with a musical instrument and the Band is their only source of instruction. Band members are encouraged to always give their best efforts, to be a reliable team member, realise their musical and personal potential, self discipline and respect for others.

Through its association with The Royal British Legion, the Band aims to bridge the gap between different generations helping them to gain a greater understanding of each others problems and to appreciate their achievements.

As a military style marching Band, the Band seeks to undertake engagements of a ceremonial nature. The Band leads Brentwood ’s Remembrance Parade and through its young members helps to keep alive acknowledgement of the sacrifices to which they are indebted.
